Geography Tutor

Harry graduated from the competitive, intense Teach First Leadership Development Programme in 2019. During this programme, he attained QTS (qualified teacher status) and a modular PGDE in leadership in learning, featuring classroom practice and research-informed academic assignments. He has had an extensive and diverse range of clients and has also tutored university/a-level students in Geography, guiding them through essay and dissertation submissions and exams. Harry has worked as a teacher in independent as well as state schools in Birmingham for several years, teaching GCSEs and A-Levels as well as KS3 with a specialism in geography. His GCSE pupils have consistently achieved 100% pass rates, and well over 50% have achieved A-A*/top grades. <br>

Mainly applicable to Geography, Harry’s lessons consistently focus on exam technique, including essay structure and exam preparation. He has experience and passion for differentiating work and breaking down complex, complicated concepts into manageable, less challenging activities that better facilitate understanding. Harry takes pleasure in going above and beyond expectations to ensure his pupils are as well prepared as possible to deal with their relevant course. He has experience in all the main exam boards and qualifications. He has also taught Geography at a prestigious international school in Poland, giving him knowledge and understanding of the international curriculum.
