Having qualified and worked for several years as a Chartered Accountant, I retrained to become a Mathematics Teacher and spent 18 years teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level Mathematics in both the independent and state sector. I have also been Deputy Head of Mathematics and was responsible for A level Mathematics. My experience working in industry has proved to be valuable in explaining how Mathematics is relevant in day-to-day life.

Since 2020, I have been working as a tutor both remotely and in person, with individual students and revision groups, tutoring also for the 11+, Common Entrance Exams and the IB.

I am also an examiner for Edexcel and AQA so have an up-to-date knowledge of the style of questions which the exam boards are currently setting and so can help students to learn how to answer these questions effectively.

Working on a 1:1 basis allows me to structure my lessons according to the learning style and needs of each individual student, whilst also making the lessons enjoyable.
